Abstract

Today's industry places high demands on productivity and efficiency of production. At present, materials are being developed that have higher mechanical and better physical characteristics than conventional construction materials. With the development of new materials come new technologies of machining. Using suitable machining technology, material and tool, the desired quality of the product surface, the long service life of the tool at high production efficiency is achieved. Due to its mechanical-physical properties, technical ceramics are usable for machining hard-to-produce materials. The article deals with the integrity of the surface after machining the nickel alloy with a ceramic cutter. The experiment was evaluated using the Matlab program, in which the impact of cutting forces on surface integrity was simulated. Further evaluation of the experiments was using DoE, wherein cutting forces were analysed and the integrity of the surface was dependent on cutting forces.
