The commune of Tleń/Osie is situated in the borderregion of Tuchola Forest and Świecie Highland, crossedby the deep Wda River Valley. The outwash plains, whichare overgrown with pine forests and cover the northernand western part of the commune, constitute thepredominant element of the landscape. Woods comprisemore than 60% of the commune area. The unique natureresources have been granted protection as a part of WdaLandscape Park. Tleń/Osie Commune area is situatedwithin the ethnographic and cultural border of Kociewie.The villages located along the Wda River and the artificialŻurski Reservoir are of particular tourist importance.
