The international obligations of the Slovak Republic in the field of reducing the production of pollutants concern the production of heat, especially in the field of gaseous emissions of SO₂, solid fly ash, CO and CO₂. Given that thermal energy is one of the largest producers of pollutants, the fulfillment of international obligations depends on the implementation of measures to reduce the production of these substances. The combustion of fossil fuels and the consequent occurrence of harmful emissions on the environment are therefore becoming a central theme of current heating technology.
