Abstract


The paper presents an analysis of a virtual prototype of a Laval (Jeffcott) rotor in the MSC.ADAMS software environment, and its modules. Dynamic analysis of various configurations of the system with unbalanced and misaligned disk cocked on shaft  are performed from the point of view of analysis of rotor operation, transition through critical speed and determination of response by measuring acceleration on bearing housings. The measurements create a prerequisite for understanding the results of condition monitoring measurements based on vibration analysis and also in searching the causes of detected anomalous rotor behavior and modeling other fault conditions.
