Innovative design of parking brake testing equipment in the laboratory conditions

Abstract


The article deals with the test equipment for frictional characteristic research of railway vehicle brake components. The paper describes the principle of functioning of the device for testing the parking brake and the test itself course. The aim is to design a device for carrying out parking brake tests. The paper presents two possible variants on which structural and functional analysis was performed. After carry out evaluation the results, the design advisable was selected. Results acquired with this device will be used to create new standards and regulations for a railway vehicle brake components testing.
