Abstract

Modern vehicles are designed to be proecological. One of the factors limiting the power-consuming of the driving processes is a low value of the rolling resistance coefficient.

This resistance depends on the construction features of the tire, exploitation conditions or the type of surface the car is driven at. The paper presents the results of experimental research of determining the rolling resistance coefficient using a laboratory method on a rolling road dyno. The results presented here are a part of a wider range of research of determining the rolling resistance coefficient and the influence of research method on its value.
