Abstract


The paper deals with a construction design of the rack system which will be used for storage of metallurgical rod material in a manufacturing engineering company. To meet requirements for manual control of the pull-out mechanism its design with the sufficiently large transmission ratio will be proposed in order to handle a rack block weighing up to three tones. Then, for structure safety and reliability verification stress analysis will be conducted.
