Abstract


Presented kinematic system of the mechanism is an effect of a design process with taking into an account construction briefs specified by medical staff in a hospital. In order to fulfill this requirements, kinematic analysis of this mechanism was made, which goal was to find a connection between a various loading of the bed and minimal force needed to drive the height adjustment mechanism. The next step was a validation process by constructing the prototype of a researched machine, on which the empirical tests were completed. During the tests drive force of a mechanism was measured for various values and distribution of a load. Acquired results give a possibility to compare it with a simulation analysis and reach the final goal, which is an answer to the question how to place all the parts of the mechanism in order to achieve a lowest possible drive force and fulfill all construction briefs in the same time.
